Federal Sales Account Executive
Position Title: Federal Sales Account Executive
Report to: Operations
Status: Full-Time, Exempt
Position Summary: Federal Sales Account Executive uses expertise and knowledge to sell our IT and Audio Visual services to various Federal Government agencies. Utilizes Contract Vehicles to obtain projects locally, on the Mainland and overseas. Establishes and maintains relationships with Contracting Offices and Small Business Advocates.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Visits clients and potential clients and Contracting Offices to evaluate needs and promote our services
- Builds and maintains positive and effective key relationships with customers, partnering companies, and procurement offices
- Utilizes existing Contract Vehicles to get contracts and grows the Federal pipeline
- Develops a strategic plan for each assigned account
- Performs other duties as assigned
Physical and Mental Demands:
- Works independently 40-50 hours per week depending on demand, some weekend and afterhours
- Strong verbal, reading, writing, math and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize
Experience/Skills/Knowledge Requirements:
- At least 5 years’ experience in selling and consulting integration IT services to the Federal Sector
- Understands how to use Contract Vehicles to obtain contracts and how Contract Vehicles work
- Leverage business development sources and experience with research tools to identify opportunities
- Work with the proposal team to create competitive bids
- Ability to communicate effectively with Procurement offices, Military customers, and COR’s
- Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills with ability to close deals
- Deep understanding of Federal acquisition and procurement processes and dynamics
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with excellent driving record
- DoD clearance is desirable
Work Hours: 7:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday. Some weekend and afterhours work required. Some travel required.
